Description

Delicious and fluffy buttermilk biscuits perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Place 1/2 cup unsalted butter in an 8×8-inch baking dish and the dough should be sticky and lumpy.
  2. Carefully remove the hot dish with melted butter from the oven. Spoon the dough into the dish, spreading it gently to the edges.
  3. Score the top of the dough into 9 squares using a butter knife for easy portioning.
  4. Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly around the edges.
  5. Let cool for a few minutes before cutting along the scored lines and serving warm.
