Description

Delicious and moist banana bars topped with a creamy frosting.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup real maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Mix in softened butter and sugar until combined; then add eggs and maple syrup.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; gently fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While cooling, prepare the frosting by whipping together softened butter, powdered sugar, and maple syrup until smooth.
  7. Once cooled, frost the bars generously and enjoy!
