Description

A delicious homemade version of the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring ground beef and melted provolone cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1/2 cup Beef broth
  • 1 cup Provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions and bell peppers in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for 8-10 minutes until browned and no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the garlic and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well for about 1 minute.
  4. Mix in the cream cheese until melted and well combined.
  5. Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese on top and cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to melt.
  6. Serve the mixture on toasted buns, heaping it generously.

Notes

  • For a sweeter option, substitute the green bell pepper with a red bell pepper.
  • Feel free to use chives instead of parsley for a different flavor.
