Description

A delicious slow-cooked beef dish with a sweet and savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef (chuck roast or flank steak), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup soy sauce (ensure it’s halal)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into 1-inch cubes and set it aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well-mixed.
  3. Add the beef cubes to your slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, ensuring all the meat is well-coated.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. The meat should be tender and flavorful.
  5. Once cooked, sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
